Patrick Nwajiaku is the Chief Executive Officer of Airband Wireless. He believes in connecting every African to fast broadband internet. With over 25 years experience in the ICT industry, Patrick brings huge experience to the company. Consulting for the World Bank and the European Union, Patrick designed and led initiatives in several internationally-funded Government ICT initiatives from 2003 to 2010. As founder and CEO of three different companies with revenues in billions of Naira, Patrick has extensive local and international experience in the sector with a recent appointment as a Special Adviser (Technical) to the Hon. Minister of Communications from which he resigned in 2018.
Val Amadi is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer of Airband Wireless. As one of the first engineers in MTN, Val led the team that planned and built MTN’s network across 10 South-Eastern and North-Central states. As a pioneer staff in Etisalat Nigeria, he was incharge of the national rollout for and oversaw the building and growth of the network infrastructure to about 6,000 sites & 24 BSC nodes. His ambition is to connect every village and every Nigerian to a fast broadband network. A technology management professional with twenty-two (22) years’ experience in Business Operations, Commercial Segments & Technology: Planning, Management and Deployment in the Telecommunications sector spanning the radio, transmission and core network areas for existing networks and vastly experienced for establishing start-up telecommunication ventures.
Dr Tola Adesina, as Airband’s Finance Director, brings his extensive financial experience to ensure profitability and sustainability. His experience as Head of Internationalisation at the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Derby in the UK where he is responsible for driving the College’s global strategy helps drive the business’ global outlook. Prior to this, Tola has worked in other UK institutions including his previous role at Coventry University where he was Associate Head (International) at the School of Economics, Finance and Accounting.
Lynda believes that Nigerians deserve much more in the broadband space. With over 18 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry, having worked with the four big telecommunication operators in Nigeria with a secondment to Iran to set up the National carrier’s operation.
As a certified ScrumMaster (CSM), her expertise spans across business operations and negotiations, client acquisition and sales – spurring for business and revenue growth and setting rewarding milestones. With an MBA from Durham University, UK, specialising in Strategic Marketing, Lynda comes with years of exemplary leadership qualities that are result-driven, and backed by records of accomplishments.
Ayoola is an experienced business and technical product management professional with over 16 years working in banking, Information technology and Telecommunications sectors. He has worked in several roles ranging from core IT functions, product management, solutions architecture and business development. He currently specialises in digital transformation, and has worked with several startups to bring their business and products from concept to production.
He is a computer science graduate from the University of Lagos and Holds a M.Sc. from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom where he studied Management Information System: Change for growth and development, with special focus on qualitative contextual implementation of businesses and information systems.
He has certifications as a Business Process certified expert, ITIL intermediate, focusing on Service Frameworks and Operations, Project and Product Management and a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert CCIE (Written), MCSE, MCTS, TOGAF.
Charles Otoghile holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin. He majored in Operations Management and Business Information system. He has over 10 years experience working in finance related roles which includes Financial Analyst, Financial Planning, Budgeting & Control, in multinational companies like 9 Mobile where he was the Manager, Commercial Decision Support.
Ebube has over 20 years in Electrical, Electronics field engineering and general ICT Consultancy. He is a trained engineer with a Bachelors in Engineering and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a manager of people, business operations and business technical infrastructure.
Ebube is the first Nigerian with planning and operational experience, in the unique WiDOX Network solutions within the TV White Space technology and has successfully deployed this technology in some states in Nigeria.
His knowledge of vendor management leads to strategic execution on numerous projects. An astute professional with a high sense of field technical deployment, he has consistently delivered on business objectives.He is a well-rounded technocrat in telecommunications networks and systems. He is an Extroverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Perceiving (ENTP) personality.
Lilian holds a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Project Management, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
In Airband Wireless, she brings her project management experience to bear by ensuring the implementation processes for both the broadband and broadcast services are effectively executed within the required project definition while eliminating project risks to the barest minimum.
Her experience in Project Management spans over eight years, in which she has successfully executed projects in varying sectors, public and private, and in high impact areas like IT policy implementation, financial solutions deployment, business delivery projects and Non-Governmental Organisations’ projects.
She has also consulted for organisations to deliver corporate and social developmental programmes, cutting across the six geo-zones in Nigeria. Lilian consistently exhibits leadership and problem-solving qualities that are agile and result based.
